"Honor the space between no longer and not yet."-Nancy Levin. These are the Confessions of a 25 Year Old.
Today, I am 25 years old. It's been a long journey. There were times I did not think that I would make it to see this day. Times I questioned if God even had a reason for me being here. Today, I've grown.
So, what are my confessions?
Actually I have a list of them..
- This is an awkward place.
- Adulting is crazy.
- I still have so much to learn.
- I need a weekly vacation.
- I pray for naps now.
- I still look like a kid.
- I'm tired of getting ID'd.
- Coffee is not overrated.
- Neither is caffeine overrated.
- But bills are overrated.
- I want my bank account to touch Jesus.
- I'm broke, even if I'm not broke.
- I'm not in a rush to have a family.
- Because I'm broke.
- Student loans are the spawn of satan.
- I'm growing.
- I'm nothing like I dreamed of being.
- Yet I'm everything I dreamed of.
- I'm happy.
- I'm content.
- But I am not complacent.
- I have joy.
- God has never left me.
- I am fulfilled.
- I am glad my life happened the way it did!
Signed, A 25 Year Old. 💞
