Open Letter

After the last few days, I am lost and confused. I have tried and tried to process what is happening and I still can't. All I know is that I keep hearing excuses as to why someone deserves to die and that my friends is intolerable. The ignorance that I have witnessed is immeasurable. Hate, the same. What I don't understand is why?

I have a nonverbal Black brother. The reality is he doesn't even know much of this world and he could be a "threat" to some idiot. Not because he's dangerous, because he is Black and a young man. They'll call him a "thug" but never mention he has Autism and can't communicate. They'll say "we don't know all the facts yet" and it'll all be total bull! So everybody who doesn't understand please be quiet and make an effort to listen to our pain. If you don't care to understand, please keep your ignorance to yourself. I could care less about your opinion at this point. 

We tell you ‪#‎BlackLivesMatter‬ not because yours are less valuable but because no one else seems to remember that ours do. Do you know what it feels like to feel helpless? Do you cry when your sons and daughters leave your presence for fear that they will be the next hashtag? Do you know how it feels to be the most hated race known to mankind? Do you know how it feels to be Black? If you said no to any of these, don't tell us how to feel. Our hearts are breaking.

My heart hurts for these innocent citizens and officers, they are human like the rest of us. They have families who love them. No one has the right to take a life they didn't give. It is sick and inhumane for you all to praise their death and murder on either side. I'm just done with all of the ignorance. I'm so glad this world is not my final destination.
